Breast density software developer Matakina International is highlighting five abstracts to be presented at the upcoming ECR 2013 in Vienna that show that the company's Volpara objective breast density measurement software helps overcome the limitations of mammography for women with dense breasts.
The abstracts include the following:
- C-1033, from Dr. Gisella Gennaro of the Veneto Institute of Oncology in Padua, Italy
- C-1770 and C-1762, from Ralph Highnam, PhD, CEO of Matakina International
- C-1953, from Dr. Nico Karssemeijer of Radboud University Medical Centre in Nijmegen, the Netherlands
- C-1787, from Dr. Kwan Ng of the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
In other Matakina news, Volpara has been chosen for use in the European Union collaborative Adapting Breast Cancer Screening Strategy Using Personalized Risk Estimation (ASSURE) research project, the company said.
