The American College of Radiology (ACR), the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) have teamed to release practice guidelines for digital radiography, the electronic practice of medical imaging, and determinants of image quality in digital mammography.
Representatives from the three societies worked together to review the original guidelines and make changes appropriate to new technologies and practice standards, according to SIIM.
