(Booth 8342) Carestream Health of Rochester, NY, will demonstrate the latest version of its computer-aided detection (CAD) software, which is currently marketed outside the U.S.
Carestream has developed CAD algorithms for its own DirectView CR Mammography system, as well as for full-field digital mammography (FFDM) units from other vendors. The company also offers CAD for film-based mammography and is marketing that software in the U.S.
Carestream plans to file for regulatory approval of its FFDM CAD software as soon as its CR mammography unit receives U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance.
