Interventional firm Suros Surgical Systems has introduced a 9-gauge petite needle for its ATEC breast biopsy and excision system product line. The Indianapolis-based vendor believes that the new needle will make outpatient vacuum assisted biopsies possible for small-breasted women. The needle allows biopsies from a breast compressed as thin as 22 mm, according to Suros.
