What if there were biomarkers that could signal breast cancer's aggressiveness -- particularly triple-negative breast cancer? A study conducted by researchers from the University of California, San Francisco suggests that there just might be.
Dr. Marjan Bolouri and colleagues found that a strong correlation between dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI signal enhancement ratio and maximum standardized uptake values from PET/CT illuminates the progression of triple-negative breast cancer, as well as a patient's prognosis.
