
Radiation therapy developer Accuray has inked a deal with artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Limbus to integrate the company's autocontouring algorithms in its Radixact and CyberKnife systems.
The companies expect an integrated offering to be made available beginning in 2023.
Contouring accounts for a significant proportion of the time involved in treatment planning, and automating the process allows for adaptive plan modification for patients without overwhelming already stretched clinical staff, Accuray said.
