RaySearch's RayStation treatment planning system has been integrated into the CyberKnife radiation therapy platform from radiation oncology firm Accuray.
RayStation allows clinicians to create treatment plans for CyberKnife M6, S7, and other radiation therapy devices using one unified system. Also, the integration makes it easier to integrate Accuray systems into radiation oncology department networks.
CyberKnife is a robotic radiation therapy system that delivers stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiation therapy treatments within 15 minutes, according to Accuray. It is used in the treatment of neurological disorders and cancerous and benign tumors throughout the body.
