Radiation therapy software developer RaySearch Laboratories and radiation oncology firm Varian Medical Systems have entered into an agreement to help patients track radiation treatment progress.
The partnership connects RaySearch's RayCare oncology information system with data from Varian's TrueBeam linear accelerators. Clinics will be able to use a dedicated RayCare interface to manage clinical activities related to the Varian TrueBeam accelerators.
The companies are working to develop the interface and hope to release a solution before 2021. The availability of the interface may be subject to regulatory clearance in some markets, according to the companies.
