Radiation oncology firm Accuray said Montefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care in New York City has treated cancer patients in New York with its Radixact image-guided intensity-modulated radiation therapy system.
The institution is the only hospital in the state of New York to have installed Radixact, a TomoTherapy platform that features a built-in CT scanner. The integrated CT scanner performs imaging before each treatment session to determine the shape and position of tumors, according to the vendor.
