Computer-aided detection and radiation therapy firm iCAD has signed distribution agreements for its Xoft Axxent electronic brachytherapy system in China and Russia.
Chindex Medical will handle distribution of Xoft Axxent in China, while Medvio will market the system in Russia, iCAD said.
In other iCAD news, the company also announced that the first breast cancer patient was treated with intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) using the Xoft system in Taiwan.
