Radiation therapy firm North American Scientific said that its Nomos Radiation Oncology division will be introducing its nomosStat serial tomotherapy treatment product at next week's American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) meeting in Denver.
The product integrates the Chatsworth, CA-based vendor's MIMiC and AutoCrane core serial tomotherapy delivery products with a single user interface inside and outside the treatment room, NAS said. It also offers a network connection to the vendor's Corvus IMRT inverse-planning system.
Shipments are expected to begin in early 2006 following Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance.
