Radiation therapy firm North American Scientific (NAS) reported fiscal 2005 third-quarter revenues of $8.1 million, equivalent to the $8.1 million in revenues posted for the third quarter of 2004. For the period (end-July 31), the Chatsworth, CA-based firm had a net loss of $3.3 million, narrowing a net loss for the same period last year of $14.6 million.
The firm attributed the $11.3 million reduction in net loss from continuing operations to $10.3 million of nonrecurring expenses relating to its acquisition of Nomos in the third quarter of 2004, and $1 million in cost reductions.
