GE HealthCare (GEHC) and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Health are entering a 10-year care alliance focused on implementing advanced imaging technology across the health system.
The agreement will include two hospitals currently under construction at Parnassus Heights and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland.
The collaboration's focus areas include the following:
- Remote scanning support to expand access to complex procedures across UCSF Health's network
- A radiologic technologist education and workforce development program -- part of UCSF Health's Career Pathways Initiative supported by Crankstart, Tipping Point Community, and the Ignite Fund -- that will offer structured education, hands-on clinical training, and peer-to-peer mentorship
- MRI protocol optimization and service management to support consistent imaging quality across the system
The alliance builds on a longstanding relationship between GEHC and UCSF, and represents the first major formal agreement between the two organizations.
