Toshiba hits MR installation milestone

Toshiba Medical Systems has installed its 1,600th Vantage MR system in the world and its 500th in the U.S.

The milestone installation, a Vantage Titan 3-tesla MR system, was placed at Winn Army Community Hospital, a Tricare military treatment facility in Fort Stewart, GA.

The system has a 71-cm patient aperture and Toshiba's Pianissimo noise-reduction technology, and it incorporates Toshiba's proprietary noncontrast techniques.
