Baird Medical Investment Holdings is highlighting the successful completion of its first microwave ablation (MWA) procedure in Bangladesh.
The procedure was performed at USB Hospital in Uttara, Dhaka, and led by Mofazzal Sharif Rasel, PhD, an interventional radiologist. The patient was a 65-year-old individual diagnosed with a 6 cm liver tumor who underwent the minimally invasive MWA procedure and is reported to be recovering well.
Baird said the successful procedure indicates growing confidence in MWA and "signifies a new era of access to advanced, minimally invasive treatment options for patients in South Asia."
