Flexible Stenting Solutions adds to portfolio

Stent developer Flexible Stenting Solutions (FSS) has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for an improved version of its FlexStent biliary self-expanding stent delivery system.

Indicated for the palliative treatment of biliary strictures resulting from malignant neoplasms, the modified FlexStent has been designed for improved manufacturing and lower stent deployment force, according to the Eatontown, NJ-based firm.

In other product news, FSS said it has also expanded its biliary stent size range.
