Cordis files suit against Boston Scientific

Johnson & Johnson subsidiary Cordis has filed suit against Boston Scientific of Natick, MA, alleging that its stents, including the Express2 device, infringe a patent owned by Cordis of New Brunswick, NJ. The suit seeks a declaration of validity and infringement of the patent, and injunctive and monetary relief.

In May 2002, the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware set aside a jury verdict finding infringement of the same patent against Boston Scientific’s NIR stent.
