Eizo has released the RadiForce RX670, a 30-inch, 6-megapixel color diagnostic monitor for radiology and teleradiology that succeeds the RX660.
The RX670 features a 3,280 x 2,048 display with maximum brightness of 1,100 cd/m², up from 1,000 cd/m² in the previous model, and is DICOM part 14 compliant. It supports both monochrome and color display, covering modalities including chest x-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and endoscopy. It also features a digital pathology preset mode.
The monitor is equipped with USB Type-C connectivity that allows it to function as a docking station, supplying up to 94 watts of power to a connected device such as a mobile workstation via a single cable, the company said. It also includes a built-in local area network (LAN) port for wired network access through the monitor, three USB Type-A ports, and support for daisy chaining multiple monitors from a single video output.
The RX670 is constructed from more than 77% recycled plastic, and its packaging uses molded pulp made from recycled cardboard and newspaper rather than plastic foam, the company said.
