In the x-ray section of its RSNA booth, Hologic of Bedford, MA, will highlight Fluoroscan InSight, the most recent addition to its Fluoroscan family of mini C-arms, featuring new image automation features.
The system is targeted at orthopedic surgeons performing minimally invasive surgeries of the extremities, as well as for low-dose in-office imaging procedures, according to the company. It employs a 0.45-micron focal spot and 1K x 1K digital imaging chain.
A new imaging automation feature allows surgeons to concentrate on patients, while a Metal-Trac feature eliminates image interference when surgical instruments enter the field-of-view, according to the company.
