Conebeam CT technology developer CurveBeam has secured the CE Mark for its HiRise weight-bearing CT system for lower extremity imaging.
The device scans the whole lower body from hip and pelvis to the feet, according to the firm. Weight-bearing CT imaging of the hip and pelvis is a new application for the technology, CurveBeam said.
The company expects clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the fourth quarter of this year.
