Image-guided therapy firm Brainlab has sold 50 of its Airo mobile intraoperative CT scanners since it launched the system last year.
The 32-slice Airo scanner offers the image quality of a diagnostic CT scanner with a scan volume of 51.2 x 100 cm, Brainlab said. Its gantry opening is 107 cm, but it boasts a small footprint that allows it to be easily moved from room to room. Airo was developed by Mobius Imaging and is distributed by Brainlab.
