Bayer, Radimetrics combine contrast, dose tracking

Bayer HealthCare is partnering with radiation dose-monitoring firm Radimetrics to offer CT dose tracking software in the U.S.

The agreement allows Bayer to distribute Radimetrics' eXposure radiation dose-management software, along with Bayer's Certegra contrast dose-management software.

Adding radiation tracking to Certegra will allow everyone in the radiology workflow -- from the ordering physician to the radiologist, technologist, physicist, and administrator -- to track and manage each patient's radiation and contrast dose, the companies said.

Together, the tools will support patient safety management and regulatory reporting requirements while improving quality assurance, the companies said.
