Fujifilm Healthcare Americas will showcase its enhanced Synapse Enterprise Information System (EIS) software portfolio, as well as unveil several new medical systems at RSNA 2023 in Chicago.

Synapse 7x is the company’s next-generation, cloud-based enterprise imaging platform. The platform is designed to unite data and imaging from radiology, mammography, cardiology, 3D, and other specialties across the entire enterprise, Fujifilm said. Synapse 7x operates on server-side rendering technology that is hardware-independent as well as cloud-deployable and was recently granted authority to operate on U.S. Department of Defense networks, the vendor noted.

Synapse 7x has more than 50 new features designed to improve radiologist efficiencies, workflows, visualization, and fast access, many of which are a direct result of customer feedback and contributions, as well as technological and market evolutions, Fujifilm said.

In addition, Fujifilm will unveil three new digital radiography (DR) suites, two new fluoroscopy systems, a 4-tesla MRI system, and a 128-slice CT system, the company said.

Specifically, the company noted that on Sunday, November 26 and Monday, November 27 at 11:00 a.m., its new compact, 128-slice FCT iStream CT system will be unveiled. The FCT iStream leverages vision modeling iterative reconstruction (IPV) for up to 83% dose reduction and intelliODM, an organ-based tube current that reduces dose by 30% without compromising image quality, according to the vendor.
