GE Medical Systems has introduced Logiq 9 and Logiq 7, two new ultrasound scanners released as part of the vendor's annual "breakthrough" announcement in ultrasound.
The foundation of the new scanners is the Waukesha, WI-based firm's TruScan architecture, a software-intensive ultrasound imaging platform that provides physicians with excellent computational power, image manipulation capability, workflow flexibility, and upgradability, according to GE.
Other new features on the scanners include TruAccess, a raw data digital processing technology. Another tool, SmartScan, improves patient management with 3-D imaging and an on-board management display, according to GE.
