Lernout and Hauspie, MedQuist settle lawsuit

Speech recognition firm Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products, and transcription services provider MedQuist have agreed to put aside their differences. The two firms settled a lawsuit filed by Marlton, NJ-based MedQuist against L&H of Burlington, MA. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed. Both parties indicated a willingness to investigate a broader business relationship, according to L&H president and CEO Gaston Bastiaens.
