TomTec buys Individual Software

3-D/4-D ultrasound developer TomTec Imaging Systems of Munich, Germany, has announced the acquisition of its partner, Individual Software of Fulda, Germany. TomTec believes Individual Software’s expertise in image management, DICOM, and e-commerce will open up new markets for the merged company.

As a result of the deal, TomTec has also formed a dedicated sales and marketing team in a new sales organization, called TomTec Mediweb Systems. This 100% TomTec-owned company will be based in Fulda and will promote the vendor’s stress-echo, image management, and 3-D/4-D technology for ob/gyn, radiology, and cardiology applications, according to TomTec.
