PHOENIX - Time is definitely running out for practices to stave off massive reimbursement cuts mandated by the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) of 2005. But the American College of Radiology and a consortium of manufacturers, patient advocates, and other physician specialties are still working to repeal the DRA or delay its implementation, according to a presentation at this week's Radiology Business Management Association meeting.

Lobbyists, special interest groups, and professional associations represent radiology interests at the state and federal levels in the U.S., but the impact these groups can make can be greatly enhanced by grassroots support.
