The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) has named TJ Gardner of Gilbert, AZ, as its 2025 Student to Leadership Development Program (SLDP) Alumni of the Year.

Gardner, a radiation therapist at Ironwood Cancer and Research Center in Chandler, AZ, previously worked as a licensed architect for 25 years, specializing in medical facility design, before transitioning to radiation therapy in 2020. He graduated from the MD Anderson School of Health Professions in Houston and was selected for the three-year SLDP program in 2023.
Gardner currently serves as a professional mentor for two SLDP participants and is active in the Arizona Society of Radiologic Technologists, where he chairs the Committee on Bylaws.
