Siemens Healthineers is introducing what it said is the first integrated end-to-end system for CT-guided percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
The system combines two components: Syngo.CT Coronary Cockpit, running on the Syngo.via platform, and Syngo PCI Connect on the Artis angiography system. Together they transfer pre-processed coronary CT angiography data directly to the cath lab, giving interventional cardiologists a three-dimensional view of vessel anatomy, plaque characteristics, and stent-planning metrics, according to the company.
Syngo PCI Connect is pending clearance with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), while Syngo.CT Coronary Cockpit is not available in the U.S., the company noted.
