Kodak signs CR deal with Methodist

Eastman Kodak Health Imaging of Rochester, NY, has signed an agreement with Methodist Healthcare System of San Antonio, TX, to deliver 25 DirectView CR 850 and CR 950 systems and five DirectView CR Long-Length imaging systems. The multimillion-dollar order is one of the largest single purchases of CR equipment from Kodak’s Health Imaging group, the company said.

Methodist Healthcare System also ordered optional DirectView EVP software, which enhances image quality by presenting both high-contrast and wide-latitude data on the same image, according to the vendor. The purchase also included a "total quality tool" application that enables users to perform objective image tests and quality control measurements with the same interface used for examinations.

The CR systems will be placed in five hospitals and several hospital-affiliated imaging centers in the San Antonio area, Kodak said.
