Fuji facility pursues methane reclamation program

Fujifilm Medical Systems USA's sister company Fujifilm Manufacturing USA said that its primary U.S. manufacturing complex in Greenwood, SC, will begin using methane gas to power approximately 40% of its operations.

Methane gas will be extracted from a local community landfill and piped into the Fuji complex, where it will be used in two of the facility's four boilers, according to Fuji of Stamford, CT. The facility produces 80% of the medical film produced by Fuji.
