GE Healthcare has received a license from Health Canada for its Critical Care Suite of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for chest x-rays.

The AI algorithms, which were built in collaboration with Humber River Hospital in Toronto and are embedded on mobile x-ray devices, are designed to help radiologists prioritize critical caes with a suspected pneumothorax, according to the vendor.
