Hologic notches first MRI sale

Hologic of Bedford, MA, reported its first sale of an extremity MRI system under a new relationship the company has with Italian medical imaging developer Esaote of Genoa, Italy.

The system was sold to Savannah Rheumatology Associates of Savannah, GA, as part of a deal that also included the sale of a Hologic osteoporosis assessment system, the company said.

Hologic and Esaote signed the marketing and distribution alliance in September.
