International Isotopes Q3 sales edge up

Radioisotope manufacturer International Isotopes of Idaho Falls, ID, reported slightly higher revenues and a bigger net loss for the company's third quarter.

For the period (end-September 30), International Isotopes posted sales of $1.49 million, up 2% compared with sales of $1.46 million in the third quarter of 2006. The company's net loss for the most recent period was $276,000, compared with a net loss of $166,000 in the third quarter of 2006.

The company said that operating expenses grew as the result of newly included depreciation expenses and implementation of new accounting-standard costing requirements for employee stock options. The company also incurred legal expenses related to patent development and protection of additional intellectual property developed by its fluorine products division.
