IsoRay revenues surge, loss widens in 2006

Medical isotope firm IsoRay reported preliminary 2006 fiscal-year numbers that showed revenues growing sharply, although the firm's net loss grew.

For the year, IsoRay reported sales of $2 million, up 998% compared with the $202,000 booked in the 2005 fiscal year. For the year (end-June 30), the Richland, WI-based company had a consolidated operating loss of $7 million, compared with an operating loss of $4 million a year ago.

IsoRay CEO Roger Girard said that the firm is continuing to make significant progress towards achieving operating breakeven levels within the 2007 calendar year.
