Toshiba, TomTec to partner on cardiac 4D ultrasound

Toshiba Medical Systems of Tokyo has inked an agreement with TomTec Imaging Systems of Munich to produce tools for assessing cardiac 4D data, the company announced.

TomTec's diagnostic workstations will be able to read data from Toshiba's new Artida cardiac 4D ultrasound system. TomTec will expand its workstations' compatibility to analyze Artida 2D, 3D, and 4D ultrasound data.

The two firms plan to introduce the cardiac 4D data tools at the EuroEcho meeting in December in Lisbon, Portugal.
