Del sales rise in Q4, but dip for year

Higher international sales offset lower U.S. sales to drive fourth-quarter sales growth of 22% for Del Medical Systems Group.

For the period (end-September 30), the Franklin Park, IL-based firm had sales of $20.9 million, compared with the $17.1 million booked during the fourth quarter a year ago. Del had operating income of $1.5 million, up from $1.2 million last year.

For fiscal 2006, Del turned in sales of $70.3 million, down slightly from the $70.8 million posted in fiscal 2005. James Risher, president and CEO at Del Medical parent Del Global Technologies, said that the management team's challenge in 2007 is to better position the company for the transition from analog products to digital systems.
