Medipattern release version 2.0

Canadian computer-aided detection (CAD) software developer Medipattern of Toronto has released version 2.0 of its B-CAD software for breast ultrasound.

The new version improves the level of support for radiologists analyzing breast images, increases to 14 the number of breast ultrasound features B-CAD detects, and includes a new voice-to-text feature for quick analysis and automated reporting of breast ultrasound images.

The software will be available to OEMs in the next 30 days in most parts of the world outside of the U.S. as an integrated part of the i-ReadMammo breast imaging suite from Cedara Software, a division of Merge Healthcare of Milwaukee. End users will be able to purchase the software from either Merge or Eastman Kodak Health Group of Rochester, NY. Medipattern is working to receive 510(k) clearance for B-CAD 2.0 in the U.S.
