Ultrasonix debuts Sonix CEP

Canadian ultrasound vendor Ultrasonix Medical has introduced Sonix CEP, an ultrasound system designed for emergency medicine.

Sonix CEP is a compact unit and includes features such as the firm's Sonix Live wireless video streaming capability and 30 minutes of rechargeable battery life, according to Ultrasonix of Burnaby, British Columbia. A QSonix Quick Exam Wizard provides one-touch access to major applications, probe selection, and specific application presets, Ultrasonix said. It also autopopulates patient data targeted at treating critical and emergency patients.

Other Sonix CEP features include specialized worksheets for emergency medicine, a barcode reader, and on-board emergency medicine training videos.
