Ultrasonix hires new VP

Canadian ultrasound developer Ultrasonix of Burnaby, British Columbia, has hired a new vice president of sales and marketing for the company's Americas region.

David Willis comes to the company from compact ultrasound developer SonoSite of Bothell, WA, where he was vice president of the company's general imaging business unit. From 1988 to 1999 Willis worked at ATL Ultrasound, which is now part of Philips Medical Systems of Andover, MA.
