SCAR adds resident scholarship program

The Society for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) has launched a new resident scholarship program.

The scholarship is open to first- or second-year medical residents in North America who are interested in imaging informatics, according to the Great Falls, VA-based society. Applicants will need to submit a 500-750 word essay on: "The next killer app: What is the biggest development on the horizon for imaging informatics?"

In addition to a one-year SCAR membership, recipients will receive travel expenses and meeting registration for the SCAR 2006 annual meeting in April. The application deadline is February 17. For more information, visit SCAR's Web site.
