GE completes ONI acquisition

ONI Medical Systems of Wilmington, MA, announced that it has completed the sale of its MRI technology platform to GE Healthcare of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.

ONI specialized in dedicated-purpose musculoskeletal MRI systems, including its MSK Extreme 1.0T and MSK Extreme 1.5T scanners. The firms announced in October that GE would acquire ONI's MRI assets for an undisclosed sum.
