GE Healthcare and the Mayo Clinic of Rochester, MN, said that they are collaborating in the development of high-field body MRI.
The announcement, made at the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) conference in Seattle, said that the organizations will develop and apply the most clinically viable techniques for 3-tesla MR imaging.
The Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based GE will be installing a 3-tesla MR system at the Mayo Clinic and collaborating, through a team of scientists and engineers, to develop new imaging tools and protocols for the scanner.
