Siemens orders PET/CT transport system

Siemens Healthcare of Erlangen, Germany, has ordered the Dignity Carrier patient transportation system from LinkMed of Needham, MA.

The Dignity Carrier is designed to transport patients for PET/CT imaging for special applications from preparation to treatment rooms at the Particle Therapy Center at Heidelberg University in Germany.

The order, scheduled for delivery in the second quarter, includes a special adaptation of the Dignity Carrier to allow smooth docking to a Siemens PET/CT scanner.
