UltraSPECT gets CE Mark

Nuclear medicine developer UltraSPECT of Haifa, Israel, has received the European CE Mark for its wide-beam reconstruction (WBR) product family.

The technology removes the negative effect of collimator line-spread function (LSF) on spatial resolution, and reduces the trade-off between scan time and image resolution in traditional SPECT reconstruction, according to the firm.

The WBR process provides an accurate description of the physical model of the emission-detection process, reducing the scanning time needed to generate a diagnostic-quality image, UltraSPECT said.
