Analogic acquires minority stake in PhotoDetection Systems

Imaging technology developer Analogic of Peabody, MA, has bought a minority interest in PET developer PhotoDetection Systems (PDS) of Acton, MA. Analogic also obtained an exclusive technology license to use PDS’ proprietary PET technology within specific markets.

The companies plan on combining Analogic’s CT with PET technology from PDS to offer PET/CT systems for Analogic’s OEM customers. Analogic did not disclose the amount of the investment, nor the size of the stake the company has taken in PDS.
