Acceleware scores Eli Lilly contract

Pharmaceutical firm Eli Lilly of Indianapolis has selected Acceleware's AxRecon processing software to enhance microCT image reconstruction times in the pharmaceutical development process.

Pharmaceutical researchers use CT to observe the effects of drugs on anatomy. The process can be delayed by slow image reconstruction time due to insufficient computing power, according to Acceleware.

The software from Canadian Acceleware, based in Calgary, Alberta, is designed to eliminate the computer processing bottleneck in image reconstruction workflow and hasten the evaluation of drug effectiveness.
