Medical informatics firm CompuMed has signed a new three-year statewide contract in conjunction with Wexford Health Sources to provide electrocardiogram (ECG) remote interpretation systems and services for the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
Under the terms of the agreement, CompuMed's CardioGram system will perform remote cardiac screening for detainees at two of the state's main correctional facilities and 11 county regional facilities.
In addition to the new contract, CompuMed renewed deals with state correctional clients in Oklahoma and Texas. Under the terms of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections contract extension, CompuMed will provide remote cardiac screening on an as-needed basis for more than 14,000 detainees at all 20 of its facilities.
Under the terms of the new two-year Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center agreement, CompuMed will provide interpretative ECG services to 10 correctional facilities in that state.
The three agreements are estimated to total more than $143,000 in annual revenue, according to the Los Angeles-based company.
