Toshiba America Medical Systems has received Food and Drug Administration clearance for a new cardiac flat-panel detector on its Infinix-i series of vascular imaging systems.
The C-panel detector is a field-upgradable component for the vendor's Infinix CC-i system. The replacement process takes about three days to complete, according to the Tustin, CA-based firm.
When equipped with the new detector, Infinix CC-i offers a variety of frame-rate options in both fluoro and record mode, Toshiba said. The detector features an 8 x 8-inch (20 x 20-cm) field-of-view for cardiac imaging procedures; the expanded field-of-view provides expanded clinical capabilities for left-ventricular assessment, according to the vendor.
