Varian taps Adler for new post

Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems of Palo Alto, CA, has appointed Dr. John Adler to the newly created post of chief of new clinical applications, effective April 5.

Adler is a professor of neurosurgery and radiation oncology at Stanford University in Stanford, CA, and past CEO, chairman, and founder of radiotherapy firm Accuray of Sunnyvale, CA.

He will help Varian develop its next-generation clinical products and applications for radiosurgery.
